Here is a quick rundown and analysis of the top TEs I like for this year. I just wanna give you guys a straight to the point reference list to be used during drafts. I will tell you when to target these players in all PPR leagues.
TE Rankings (PPR)
1 Gates – Finally healthy , but he gets banged up. On a per game basis there is no TE better – but truth be told I like some other TE a round later for my taste.
Target mid 4
2 Vernon Davis – This is my guy this year , Harbaugh will use him a TON. He is a complete freak at that position and is well into his prime now. Alex Smith is a concern , but bad Qbs can still manage to build great chemistry with their TE’s.
mid 5
3 JerMichael Finley – Only 24 so there had to be some speed bumps for the guy and those speed bumps come in the form of injuries. He has gone from being nicked up to being put out for the season. He is GREAT for that offense and Rodgers LOVES LOVES LOVES him , but there are A LOT of people there to catch it too. AMAZING upside , but coupled with injury issues in his track record he falls behind VD on my list.
mid 5

This will be a similar type of series to the “Way of the iCon.” Except here I am going to provide a round by round and team by team draft review for the first 5 rounds of the draft followed by a summary of each team and grades on draft style and overall team strength. Each round I will provide a brief analysis while discussing the best and worst value selections of the round. So wish me luck , and pay close attention as there will be NO BETTER tool for you to use in your very own PPR style drafts for the rest of this summer!
NOW LETS GO LIVE TO THE DRAFT ROOM!

TOP 25 and the best of the rest RB Rankings
PPR Scoring
1 Adrian Peterson– Mcnabb still garners respect , still the best combo of power/speed in the NFL , gets better each year at the dumpoffs
2 Chris Johnson– Titans telling him to get to camp to discuss a contract , he will show , still the most electric runner in the nfl(sorry JC) AP and CJ at their low was equal to almost every other RB at their Ceiling last year
3 Jamaal Charles– The guy can flat out run the rock , that offense is going to be good , that offense is going to be his offense , youth plus speed plus energy plus centerpiece is a good offense = LOCK
4 Ray Rice– I KNOW there is a big 4 out there , I am aware of it , I just know we saw Fosters best year as a pro , and we haven’t seen Rice’s, signing Ricky takes some TDs away , but they had Mclain anyway to vulture , Flacco takes the next step , Rice gets double digit rushing TDs this year

Ok, so I was having a hard time looking at a list of players and putting together a ranking and tier list properly. So what iCon did was use the draft software for the site and conduct a three round WR only draft. I felt this was the best way to analyze the position for trends , rankings , tiers and values and while also providing the most clear way to illustrate where the drop offs are and showing how to avoid unnecessarily reaching for overvalued WRs. A standard 12 team league starts up to 3 wrs = 36 starting WRs per week. Here is my top 36. Broken down in to tiers for a better understanding of who you should be targeting and when you should be targeting them. Continue reading →
